About Me

Mary Anne Moran is the associate principal at Nipmuc Regional High School in Upton, Massachusetts. Mrs. Moran began working at Nipmuc in 2003 as a math educator and transitioned into the role of associate principal in 2011. She has collaborated with teachers to redefine teaching and personalize learning through the implementation of a successful 1:1 program as well as promoted authentic learning through the development of 21st Century Learning Conferences. In partnership with students, parents, and community members, in 2013 Mrs. Moran helped launch the Nipmuc STEM Scholars Program followed by the Humanities Scholars Program, focusing on providing students with opportunities to connect their work in the classroom to careers through career exploration, workplace-readiness training, collegiate experiences, and rigorous academic programming. In acknowledgment of her work on the local and state level, Mrs. Moran was named MSSAA Massachusetts 2016 Assistant Principal of the Year.

Professionally, Mrs. Moran has shared her work at the Massachusetts STEM Summit, National Consortium of Secondary STEM Schools (NCSSS) Conference, New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) Annual Conference, Massachusetts Assistant Principals’ Conference, MSSAA Summer Institute, as well as at other local high schools. Additionally, Mrs. Moran has worked to bring educators from across the region to Nipmuc to learn about its 1:1 learning program, STEM and Humanities Scholars Program, the NEASC accreditation process, as well as 21st Century Learning Conferences. She is passionate about reimagining, redefining, and reinventing education to best prepare our students for the modern world.
