World Language teachers often struggle with how to engage students, particularly with regards to speaking and writing. In this session, we will demonstrate multiple activities that use the arts as a vehicle for generating ideas, enthusiasm and creativity.","Description":"When our curriculum is rich in the arts, we make complex concepts accessible for students and give them multiple avenues for responding to pieces. The arts move students to think, analyze, relate, create and participate. In this session we will model activities and present resources that incorporate film, paintings and photography. Participants can expect to leave with new ideas and to share their own ideas and tools for incorporating the arts in ways that make world languages accessible to all students. Our collective wisdom will be compiled in a wiki to be shared with other World Language teachers.","Link":[],"Audience":["High School","Middle School"],"Practice":"We will have all of our resources on a wiki which we will add to as participants bring new ideas to the floor.
