Cultivating Connections with the Arts
With a focus on the process of learning and reflection in today's classroom, the ability to express oneself and communicate becomes an essential piece of the process. Students find multiple avenues for expression through the Arts! Join this conversation to explore how the Arts enhance learning and create connections in traditional and inquiry-based lessons. Discussion will include research-based inquiry models, interdisciplinary connections, and how to incorporate the Arts, even when outside your comfort zone. You don't have to be a music, art, or theater specialist to enrich your students' experiences with the Arts! Together, we’ll create some strategies and lesson ideas to take back to your classroom/school immediately.
Conversational Practice
Conversation Protocol: "What? So What? Now What?" Additionally, we'll create a Google Document to capture our discussion points and share on the "Cultivating Connections with the Arts" Google Site. Twitter and/or TodaysMeet will be used as a backchannel.
